Welcome to Sauveyo Inc.
We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to empowering youth, families, and underserved communities through education, mental health support, leadership development, immigration assistance, and cultural enrichment.
Founded by Sony Sauveur in 2000 as the OPEN MIND Project and incorporated in 2018, Sauveyo has been a pillar in Brooklyn’s Haitian American community for over two decades. Our mission is to create safe, transformative spaces where individuals can grow, heal, and thrive.
OPEN MIND (Resilience, Inspiration, Support, Empowerment, Unity, Prevention) is a youth-focused initiative by Sauveyo Inc. aimed at preventing drug and alcohol use among NYC teens. The program promotes healthy choices through mentorship, activities, and life skills training.
Target Audience: Youth ages 10 –18, especially those from underserved or at-risk communities impacted by trauma, school struggles, or family addiction.

Issues like youth delinquency, dropping out of school, early substance use, and teen pregnancy can be deeply interconnected. They often arise from a combination of factors such as family instability, lack of positive role models, or limited access to educational and recreational opportunities.
Addressing these problems requires a multi-pronged approach. Strengthening support systems like mentorship programs, after-school activities, and accessible counseling services can make a significant difference. Teaching life skills, providing career guidance, and offering substance abuse prevention education are also important steps. Most importantly, fostering strong, positive relationships between teens and their families can help create a foundation of trust and respect.
These efforts may not change things overnight, but with consistent community involvement, they can help guide young people toward brighter futures and reduce the negative impacts you’ve mentioned.
