Program Overview
OPEN MIND” (Resilience, Inspiration, Support, Empowerment, Unity, Prevention) is a youth-centered drug and alcohol prevention initiative designed by Sauveyo Inc. to provide Brooklyn and NYC teens with the tools, guidance, and structure they need to lead drug-free lives. Through mentorship, enriching activities, and real-world life skills, we aim to reduce substance abuse, increase youth resilience, and promote positive youth development.

Target Audience

Youth ages 10–18, with a focus on underserved, at-risk communities in Brooklyn

Teens impacted by trauma, school struggles, family addiction, or community violence

Open to all, with a culturally responsive, trauma-informed approach

Program Components
1. Mentorship & Peer Support “OPEN MIND Mentors"
One-on-one mentorship matching youth with trained adult role models
Monthly mentor-mentee events & group coaching
Peer support circles led by trained youth ambassadors
2. After-School & Weekend Activities "OPEN MIND Clubs & Skills"
Options in arts, music, dance, tech, sports, and volunteering
Safe spaces for teens to build relationships and explore talents
Structured drop-in hours after school and Saturdays
3. Life Skills & Resilience Workshops” OPEN MIND Strong"
Weekly sessions covering:
Peer pressure resistance
Coping strategies for stress and anxiety
Leadership, communication, and goal setting
Guest speakers in recovery, roleplaying, and group journaling
